Presenting at BluesU
Blues U is Vancouver's blues dance practica. Various teachers will rotate through teaching workshop style classes on different topics. There are many great dancers in this city with expertise in one area or another, this is a soap box they can stand on to pass there skills down to the rest of the scene. I want to impose some structure because I find free-form practices are not productive, but I want to keep things fluid and organic.
To help keep things flowing I want every week to have a topic, like a workshop class description. Some examples might be;
The traditional blues aesthetic
Solo hip hop inspired movements
Tone matching
Tango fusion steps
Dips
I want to gear things to experienced blues dancers, so things don't have to start from scratch all the time.
If at all possible I'd also like a youTube clip I can send out as a teaser. Preferably it is something related to what you are teaching, and ideally it would feature celebrity blues dancers.
